The Vahland House Complex includes:

1. An eight-bed secure extended care psychiatric inpatient unit.  The unit provides treatment, rehabilitation and support for clients up to 65 years who have severe and unremitting symptoms together with an associated, significant disturbance in behaviour that inhibits their capacity to live in a less restrictive environment.
   
   
2. A Community Care Unit which has six two-bedroom units. This is an in-the-community facility, providing a home-like environment to clients whose level of illness, disability and dependence means they require treatment and support on a 24 hour basis.  The focus of care in the Community Care Unit is on rehabilitation.  In conjunction with community-based Psychiatric Disability Support Services, it provides a variety of rehabilitation programs.  These programs are aimed at assisting the client's re-integration into the community by focusing on areas such as daily living skills, social interactions and recreational and vocational opportunities.

Visiting hours:

There are no set visiting hours. However, visitors are encouraged to visit outside of meal and therapeutic program times.
