Bendigo Health will join with other health and emergency services for the Farmers Security Expo this week at the Bendigo Stadium.
Through our Health Promotion team, Bendigo Health will make available a range of health screenings across the two days, promoting not only services available, but also how to stay healthy and what to do if you have health concerns.
Acting Executive Director of Healthy Communities and Continuing Care, Paul Rumpff, said key health professionals will be available to have a conversation with throughout the day.
“This expo is a great initiative and Bendigo Health is proud to support the health and wellbeing of the region’s farmers and their families,” he said.
“We understand that in regional areas it can sometimes be difficult to access health services, so this is a wonderful opportunity to speak directly to our health professionals.
“In addition to health displays, a range of presentations will also be conducted on topics including oral health, healthy diet and when to come to the Emergency Department.”
Bendigo Health will have health professionals available across the two days from the following services - Dental, Breast Screen Australia, Emergency Department, Psychiatric Services, rural health, Dietetics, podiatry, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. There will also be opportunities to discuss Advanced Care Planning and kidney health.
