The Bookings and Admissions area of the Patient Services Department is located on Level 1, Stanistreet House.  Entry is via the Outpatients Department or the Hyett Building foyer.

The bookings area processes the elective bookings for surgery.  The elective surgery waiting list is also managed by this department.

All patients are notified by mail of their waiting list category status and expected waiting time.  Additional information on average waiting times in Victorian public hospitals is published on the Department of Human Services website.

A patient's intended date for surgery will be sent out in a letter.  The letter will also have instructions regarding admission and forms to be filled out.  Staff are available in the Bookings and Admissions area to help fill out any form.

Emergency Admissions:

All emergency admissions are processed through the Emergency Department, Stewart Street.
