The Golden Oaks Village consists of 36 single and four double self-contained units for residents who are able to live independently. The units are well maintained and have the advantage of emergency access to registered nursing staff on site 24 hours a day.

Village residents are invited to participate in the many group activities conducted at Carshalton House hostel. Every Tuesday between 10am and 2.30pm the Oaks Craft Group provides support for community residents with craft and other activities.

Service access/entry criteria:

Golden Oaks Village is available to people receiving a Pension or of age to do so and who are able to live independently.

Service coverage:

The units are available to people across the Loddon Mallee Region.

Referrals:

A referral is required from the persons general practitioner regarding their ability to live independently.

Fees:

There is a $5,000 maintenace levy applied to single units, and $7,500 maintenance levy on double units. Gas and electricity connection is the responsibility of the tenant prior to moving in. A fortnightly rental fee of $110 also applies.
