This program provides a service to veterans, widows, family members and carers of veterans.  The aim is to promote independence and quality of life for the veteran community through facilitating access to both Department of Veterans' Affairs and to community services.

The service covers the Loddon Mallee region excluding Mildura.  The Bendigo office is open 10am-1pm Monday and Tuesday, and appointments can be made for other times.  Outreach visits are held on a regular basis in Swan Hill, Kerang, Echuca, Charlton, Kyabram, Castlemaine, and Maryborough.

A full-time Community Adviser and a part-time Veteran's Adviser staff the office.  The Community Adviser primarily works with the organisations and groups such as service providers and ex-service organisations.  The role of the Veterans Adviser focuses more on one-to-one contact with veterans and their families to facilitate an understanding of, and access to, both Department of Veterans' Affairs entitlements and to other services available in the community.
