The board of directors is appointed to oversee the management of Bendigo Health as a public health service under the Health Services Act 1988.
Board members are appointed for a term of up to three years by the Governor-in-Council on the recommendation of the Minister for Health. The board chair is Dr Michael Langdon.
The board appoints the chief executive officer to manage the functions of the organisation. The board meets monthly to receive financial reports, to monitor performance of the organisation in regard to patient and client care and the organisation's other functions and to consider recommendations for future development of the organisation and its services.
Chief executive officer John Mulder manages Bendigo Health and reports to the board of directors. He is supported by nine executive directors who oversee the running of nine divisions.

Mr Bill O’Neil

Mr O’Neil is a town planner and regional economic development practitioner. He operates his own consulting business, serving a range of public and private sector clients throughout Victoria and interstate. He resides in Harcourt with his family and participates in a range of community activities. Within Bendigo Health, Mr O’Neil is a member of the Quality Care Council, Medical Advisory and Strategic Planning and Population Health committees and is convenor of the Visiting Committee.

Mr Graeme Stewart
ACA, Bachelor of Business
Mr Stewart is a partner in AFS & Associates, a Bendigo based public accounting group. He is also a director and member of the finance committee of Girton Grammar School Ltd. Within Bendigo Health, he is chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Finance and Visiting committees.

Ms Jan Boynton
BTRP, FAICD, FPIA
Ms Boynton is the CEO of Radius Disability Services and was previously director of city strategy with the City Of Greater Bendigo. She has an extensive background working in rural and regional Victoria and resides on a farm near Marong. Within Bendigo Health, Ms Boynton is chair of the Community Advisory Committee and a member of the Governance and Remuneration, Visiting and Strategic Planning and Population Health committees.

Mr Geoff Michell
Dip CE, MBA, MAICD
Mr Michell is a consultant, predominantly in the water industry. He is a director of Bendigo Community Telco, The Wimmera Catchment Management Authority, Lower Murray Water and is chairman of the Bendigo Tourism board. Within Bendigo Health, Mr Michell is a member of the Finance, Medical Advisory, Strategic Planning and Population Health and Visiting committees.

Ms Margaret O'Rourke
MAICD
Ms O’Rourke is a consultant with a background in telecommunications having 31 years experience in the industry working extensively throughout Australia,. She is president of the board of Bendigo TAFE (BRiT), chair of Bendigo Business Council and director of Tasmanian Ports Corporation. Within Bendigo Health, Ms O’Rourke is a member of the Audit Committee, Quality Care Council and Visiting Committee.

Ms Sue Clarke

Ms Clarke retired 12 months ago as CEO of Bendigo Community Health, currently working as a consultant in the health sector, a Civil Celebrant and is partner in a local retail business. She is a director of Haven, Central Victorian GP Network, Heathcote Health, and chair of the Community Foundation for Bendigo and Central Victoria. She joined the Board of Bendigo Health 12 months ago and is a member of the Consumer Advisory Committee, Visiting Committee and the Quality Care Council.

Adam Woods

Mr Woods is Head of Finance Shared Services at Bendigo Adelaide Bank Ltd with responsibility for a wide range of Transaction and Accounting Services and Finance Systems. Within Bendigo Health, he is a member of the Quality Care Council, Audit and Visiting Committee.
