What the clinic does
The service provides specialist treatment and management of patients with a wide variety of health issues, including viral hepatitis, HIV and other complex infections.
The service operates a monthly clinic in the outpatient department, with a written referral from a medical practitioner required.
Provide education for:
Liaise with external local, state and national organisations.
Pre and post test counselling for HIV
Hepatitis C testing
All enquiries regarding referrals for this clinic can be directed to the outpatient clinics liaison nurse on 5454 7571.
This clinic is a busy clinic and available time limited.
Bookings
GP referral sent to outpatients for triage and appointment allocation.
Require following tests completed for hepatitis:
- ABsAg
- HBsAb
- HBcAb
- HCV Antibody
- HCV PLR
- HIV
- LFT
- INR
- Electrolytes
