Patient relations officer
- Co-ordinates the complaint management process across Bendigo Health
- Acts as a central point of contact for consumers to register their concerns
- Liaises with all departments regarding issues arising from consumer contacts and provides assistance with complaints management
Consumer liaison officer
- Primary purpose is to co-ordinate, facilitate and evaluate consumer participation across Bendigo Health
- Functions as the secretariat for Community Advisory Committee
- Co-ordinates consumer input into the review of publications and materials at Bendigo Health
- Co-ordinates Bendigo Health's participation in the Victorian Patient Satisfaction Monitor.
Aboriginal liaison
- Provides information and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people and their family
- Helps patients access information on services in the community that may help with ATSI patient's health and wellbeing
- Assists with admission and discharge planning
- Liaises with staff on behalf of a patient and family
- Assists patients and their family to understand hospital procedures
- Provides information on support networks for patients and their carers
- Promotes health and wellbeing to the ATSI communities
- Promotes the importance of holistic health and well being for ATSI people
- Promotes cultural awareness within Bendigo Health, by providing support and education to staff on ATSI health
- Supports all clinicians staff to become more informed and aware of the needs of ATSI patients, their families and community.
