What the clinic does 

The Bendigo Regional Continence Service has a team of experienced health professionals who provide assessment and treatment for clients of all ages with bladder, bowel and pelvic floor muscle problems.

 

Services include:

  • General information
  • Confidential assessment and treatment
  • Diagnostic tests
  • Urodynamic clinics (urology and gynaecology specialists)
  • Individualised pelvic floor muscle assessment and treatment
  • Advice about continence products including accessing funding sources where eligible
  • Education and follow up for clients after discharge from hosptial
  • Education for other health professionals and carers
  • Community education sessions
  • Bedwetting, prolapse and pelvic pain can also be assessed and treated by the regional continence service.

 

Regional areas are visited once a month by a continence nurse advisor.

Eligibility

Men, women and children of all ages living in the Loddon Campaspe region are eligible.

Referral process

Who can refer?

  • Self
  • Doctor
  • Carers, community services, case managers and other health professionals.

 

All children under 15 must have a doctor's referral.

Referrals can be made by phone, fax or mail.

Clinic location 

Clients usually attend the clinic on Bendigo Health Anne Caudle Centre campus.

Visits can also be made to homes, hospital, rehabilitation wards and schools.
