Volunteers - how you can join our valued team
Volunteers enhance Bendigo Health by providing value added services to our patients, residents, families and visitors. We consider our volunteers a valuable and complementary part of the health care team. While our volunteers do not replace anyone in a paid capacity, the presence of volunteers in various areas throughout the organisation enhances the patient and visitor experience.

We are currently building on our existing volunteer programs and introducing volunteers into new areas within the organisation, We welcome people from all walks of life to join our volunteer team.

We provide volunteers with work that is meaningful, challenging and rewarding so they know they are making a difference while learning and developing new skills. We are careful to recruit the right person to the right role to ensure that the experience is beneficial to all.

Our volunteer program is based on meeting our needs and matches volunteer’s skills and interests, with available roles.
There are many ways for individuals to volunteer at Bendigo Health. As a large organisation we are able to offer opportunities and choice to our volunteers.

The committment  for volunteers is half a day a week for a 12 month period. All volunteers are given extensive orientation prior to commencement and will be provided with day to day supervision and support.
