Mental Health Week football match

Bendigo Health Psychiatric Services in association with the mental health promotion working group hosted a Vic Country versus Vic Metro football match on Wednesday October 10 to celebrate Mental Health Week.

The football match, supported by RecLink, was held at the Tom Flood Sports Centre. It included live entertainment, guest speakers, information stalls and refreshments. A half time sprint was also staged featuring RecLink players.
Mental Health Week aims to educate the community about mental health and illness. It helps to open communication and understanding of mental health issues, provide information on treatment and recovery and change attitudes and practices.
Bendigo Health Psychiatric Services acting executive director Vic Tripp said the aim of the Mental Health Week football match is to promote good mental health and wellbeing.
