General stream nursing

 

The aim of the graduate nurse program is to support newly registered nurses in their transition to employment, offering the opportunity for consolidation of clinical knowledge, skills, experience and professional development.
The program fosters the development of confidence with support from nurse educators, clinical support nurses, preceptors, group orientation and structured study days. The program offers three x four month rotations through a variety of general and specialised departments across Bendigo Health including:

  • Medical
  • Surgical
  • Orthopaedics
  • Day procedure
  • Rehabilitation
  • Acute mental health
  • Home Nursing Support Service
  • Residential aged care
  • Child and adolescent
  • Emergency Department
  • Operating theatre
  • Intensive care
  • Outpatients
  • Hospice
