The groups are conducted by qualified fitness physiotherapists from the Community Allied Health Services team.
The purpose of the groups is to reduce the risk of falls, improve balance, general fitness levels and overall health and wellbeing.
The following exercise groups are available to attend:
Exercise to music, strength training, walking groups and Tai Chi.
Attending exercise groups can help you with mobility, flexibility, strength and balance.
Fitness for Older Adults Program (FOAP) delivers physical activity groups for older adults locally in Bendigo and to regional towns. Maintaining our physical and mental health continues to be a priority despite the current COVID-19 situation. To ensure continued access to group exercise opportunities, FOAP virtual exercise classes have been arrange to help keep our community active and healthy. Links to low/moderate and moderate/high classes are available for you to enjoy.
