Bendigo Health’s strong partnerships across the Loddon Mallee region’s network of health services expands the pool of potential research participants to encompass the approximately 350,000 residents living across an area that takes up 25 per cent of Victoria’s landmass.
We hope to capitalise on our region’s growing population by increasing patient recruitment numbers, creating more clinical trials opportunities across the region.
We are also focussed on expanding clinical trials expertise across priority specialty areas such as endocrinology, gerontology and women’s health and build on current research strengths in oncology, cardiology, intensive care, emergency medicine, orthopaedics and urology.
Bendigo Health has been providing clinical trials to our community for over two decades. Recently, we’ve focused on growing our clinical trials and teletrials capability and workforce.
Our research specialist areas include allied health, cardiovascular, emergency, endocrinology, general surgery, haematology, infectious diseases, intensive care, mental health, oncology, orthopaedics, renal, respiratory, and women’s and children’s services. We will continue to build on our current clinical trial strengths in these areas, and will focus on increasing our clinical trials capacity across other specialty areas.
