The Women’s Health and Wellbeing program, delivered by the department of Health, aims to bridge the gap in women’s healthcare and change the way women’s health issues are treated.
You will be seen by a specialist GP in women’s health who can help you with:
1. Heavy and/or painful periods
2. Contraception – providing the pill, the rod or the mirena
3. Abortions – both medical and surgical terminations
4. Peri-menopause and menopause – including prescribing hormone-replacement therapy (HRT)
5. Persistent lower abdominal or pelvic pain
6. Any other women’s health or gynaecological problems.

2. Be above the age of 18.
The clinic is currently staffed by Dr. Ali Maudarbocus (pictured below). Ali is a specialist GP in women’s health. He graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed his fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. He also has an advanced diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He trained and has been working in the Loddon Mallee for the last 6 years. He is a clinical tutor at the Rural Medical School at Monash University. He also is involved in training health professional in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in managing obstetric emergencies.
