Bendigo Health is committed to supporting learning of undergraduate students and qualified health professionals from across our region and beyond by offering clinical practice or clinical observation placements at Bendigo Health. The placements provide opportunities for Health Professionals who are engaging in a learning process to consolidate or expand their scope of practice. Clinical Learning and Development facilitates negotiations between the individual/organisation and relevant Bendigo Health departments to ensure relevance and capacity for the placement

1. Clinical Practice Placements: Involve a practical learning experience under supervision of appropriately qualified Bendigo Health staff. Clinical practice placements include participation in interventions with Bendigo Health patients, families and or residents.

2. Clinical Observation Placements:  Do not involve any intervention by the learner with patients, families or residents. The placements may involve a review of medical records or the observation of Bendigo Health staff interacting with patients, families or residents.

These placements are not for secondary school students or undergraduate pre-vocational students who are allocated placements at Bendigo Health via their education provider.

For more information regarding these placements please send an expression of interest, including anticipated dates, preferred location and learning objectives to [email protected]. Someone will then contact you if we can assist with your placement.

Please note – anyone attending a placement is required to have a National Police Check and depending on location of placement a Working with Children Check.
